BIOCILIN 250MG CAPSULE contains Ampicillin which belongs to the group of medicines called Antibiotics. It is used to manage bacterial infections of the ears, nose, throat, respiratory tract (bronchus, lungs), urinary tract, genital tract, stomach, blood, brain or skin and soft tissues.

It can also be used to manage typhoid fever, meningitis (inflammation of the lining of the brain), peritonitis (inflammation of the lining of the stomach) and endocarditis (inflammation of the lining of the heart and its valves).

BIOCILIN 250MG CAPSULE should be taken on an empty stomach. It is important to take BIOCILIN 250MG CAPSULE for the stipulated duration instructed by your doctor to achieve better results even if you feel better during the midway of the therapy. Failing to complete the full course of the therapy or skipping doses in between the therapy may not result in adequate infection control.

During therapy with BIOCILIN 250MG CAPSULE, your doctor will periodically monitor your health condition through several blood tests/urine tests to access the improvement in your condition and to reduce the risk of unwanted side effects. How to use BIOCILIN 250MG CAPSULE

Take BIOCILIN 250MG CAPSULE on an empty stomach or at least 30 minutes to 1 hour before meals or as advised by your physician.

For Tablet, Capsule: Swallow the medicine with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the medicine.

For Dispersible Tablet: Disperse the medicine in the specified quantity of water as mentioned in the label. Consume the medicine immediately after reconstitution.

Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration of therapy for you depending upon your age, body weight and severity of the infection.

It is important to take the full course of BIOCILIN 250MG CAPSULE without any interruption. Diarrhoea:

Drink plenty of fluids, such as water or fruit juice to keep yourself hydrated. Consuming ORS can also be beneficial. Do not consume any medicine on your own without consulting your doctor. If your diarrhea worsens, contact your doctor immediately.
