Introduction About BENITOWA CH TABLET
BENITOWA CH TABLET is a combination of Benidipine and Chlorthalidone which belongs to the group of medicines called Antihypertensive agents. It is used in the management of hypertension.
Hypertension (high blood pressure) is a common condition in which the long-term force of the blood against artery walls is high enough that it may eventually cause heart disease. Symptoms include headaches, shortness of breath or nosebleeds (if condition is severe).
Along with this management your doctor might want you to make certain lifestyle changes such as eating a healthy diet, quitting smoking and alcohol, regular exercise and reducing your weight.
Prior to the management your doctor might take certain blood tests to understand your existing condition.
BENITOWA CH TABLET is not recommended for use in patients with low blood pressure. Before taking BENITOWA CH TABLET inform your doctor if you have kidney or liver disease.

BENITOWA CH TABLET works by lowering the blood pressure. Benidipine relaxes blood vessels and makes the heart more efficient at pumping blood throughout the body. Chlorthalidone reduces the amount of water in the body by increasing the flow of urine, which helps to lower blood pressure.
How to use BENITOWA CH TABLET
Take BENITOWA CH TABLET as advised by your physician. Swallow the medicine with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the medicine. Your doctor will decide the right dose and duration depending upon your age, body weight and disease condition.

Interactions
A. Drug - Drug interactions:
Before taking BENITOWA CH TABLET, inform your doctor if you are taking any of the following medicine:
- benazepril, metoprolol, ramipril, hydrochlorothiazide
- anti-TB (rifampin)
- itraconazole (used to manage fungal infection)
- cardiac glycoside (digoxin)
- H2 blockers (cimetidine)
Overdosage:
If you or anyone else accidentally take too much of BENITOWA CH TABLET, consult your doctor immediately or visit the nearby hospital. Symptoms of overdose are nausea, weakness, dizziness, and electrolyte imbalance.
