What is APRECAP 125MG?
- APRECAP 125MG contains Aprepitant which belongs to a group of medicines called an anti-emetics
What APRECAP 125MG is used for?
It is used:
- in combination with other medicines in patients 12 years of age and older to prevent nausea and vomiting caused by chemotherapy (cancer management)
- in adults to prevent nausea and vomiting after surgery

- are allergic to Aprepitant or any of the other ingredients of this medicine
- have liver disease
- If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor for advice before taking this medicine
- Do not give this medicine to children under 12 years of age
- Consult your doctor for advice
Tell your doctor if you are taking,
- pimozide (antipsychotic)
- Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you
- It can be taken with or without food
- Swallow the medicine whole with water
If you take more APRECAP 125MG
- Do not take more medicines than the recommended dose
If you forget to takeAPRECAP 125MG
- If you or the child has missed a dose, contact your doctor immediately
If you stop taking APRECAP 125MG
- Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor tells you to do so
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
Adults:
- constipation, indigestion
- headache
- tiredness
- loss of appetite
- hiccups
- changes in liver function tests
- decrease in white blood cell count
- diarrhea
- low blood pressure
Children:
- decrease in white and red blood cell count
- headache, tiredness
- diarrhea
- decreased appetite
- cough
- hiccups
- Protect from excess heat and light
- Keep this medicine out of reach of children
- Store at a room temperature of 15-25°C
