Introduction About AMUCOE 200 SR TABLET
AMUCOE 200 SR TABLET is used in the management of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). It can also be used to manage inflammation of the airways (such as bronchitis). It contains Acebrophylline which belongs to the group of medicines called Anti-asthmatic agents.
Before taking AMUCOE 200 SR TABLET inform your doctor if you have any liver, kidney or heart problems. You must also inform your doctor if you have fits, stomach ulcers, viral infections, hypertension or hyperthyroidism as a precaution. It is not recommended for use in pregnant women. It should be used in breastfeeding women only if it is considered necessary by the physician.
The most common side effects are epigastric pain, stomach discomfort, nausea, vomiting, dizziness, drowsiness, diarrhea and constipation. Consult your doctor if any of these side effects trouble you.
How AMUCOE 200 SR TABLET Works
AMUCOE 200 SR TABLET blocks the release of certain chemicals (such as phosphodiesterase) in the respiratory tract that triggers airway inflammation, swelling and narrowing. As a result, it widens the airways and reduces airway inflammation. It also loosens the mucus accumulated in the airways which allows the air to pass through more freely through the airways and makes breathing easier.

- Take the medicine as advised by your physician
- Swallow the medicine with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the medicine
- Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration of therapy depending upon your age, body weight and disease condition
