Introduction About ALPHACEPT M 50 TABLET

ALPHACEPT M 50 TABLET is used in the management of Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia complicated by an overactive bladder with symptoms of urge urinary incontinence, urgency, and frequency. It is a combination of Mirabegron and Silodosin, which belongs to the group of medicines called Beta-3 adrenergic agonists and Alpha blockers respectively.

ALPHACEPT M 50 TABLET is not recommended for use if you have severe kidney disease, severe liver disease, or severe, uncontrolled high blood pressure. Consult your doctor before taking it. ALPHACEPT M 50 TABLET should be used with caution in patients with mild to moderate kidney and liver disease and ECG abnormalities (QT prolongation). Consult your doctor before taking it. ALPHACEPT M 50 TABLET is not recommended for use by pregnant women unless clearly necessary. ALPHACEPT M 50 TABLET is not recommended for use in breastfeeding women as it may pass into the breast milk. The most common side effects of taking ALPHACEPT M 50 TABLET are abnormal ejaculation (less or no noticeable semen is released during sex), increased heart rate (tachycardia), urinary tract infections, dizziness, including dizziness when standing up, runny or blocked nose, constipation, and nausea. ALPHACEPT M 50 TABLET is a combination of Mirabegron and Silodosin. Mirabegron is a beta-3 adrenergic agonist that works by relaxing the muscles around the bladder. This increases the amount of urine that your bladder can hold and manages urgent, frequent, and uncontrolled urination. Silodosin is an alpha blocker that works by relaxing the muscles of the lower urinary tract and helps in relieving symptoms of difficulty urinating, painful urination, urinary frequency, and urgency.

Take ALPHACEPT M 50 TABLET as directed by the doctor. Swallow the medicine with a glass of water, and do not crush or chew the medicine. Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration of management depending on your age, body weight, and disease condition.

How To Manage Side Effects

Dizziness Or Drowsiness

Try to rest and relax. Get enough sleep. Avoid driving or operating any machines while you are feeling dizzy. Do not drink alcohol, as it can aggravate your dizziness. Contact your doctor if your dizziness does not improve.

Dry Mouth

Dry mouth can be managed by chewing sugar-free gum or sucking on sugar-free hard candies to stimulate the flow of saliva. Sip water at regular intervals of time. Do not use mouthwashes that contain alcohol because they can be drying. Consult your doctor if the dry mouth gets worse.

Nausea And Vomiting

Take ALPHACEPT M 50 TABLET with or just after a meal. Stick to simple meals. Avoid eating oily or spicy food. Contact your doctor if your nausea and vomiting do not improve.
