Do not drive a motor vehicle, play physical sports, run, or lift heavy items while wearing the collar. Check the skin daily for any signs of redness or irritation; do not apply lotions or powders on the skin under the collar. If you need to remove the collar, it is recommended to do so while lying flat and keeping your head and neck still. Clean the collar by wiping the outside with a damp cloth; the inner pads can be hand-washed with mild soap and must be completely dry before reapplication.

The collar is made from high-density, non-toxic, and heat-resistant foam. It is designed to be waterproof. For cleaning, wash the pads with mild soap, rinse well, and air dry; do not use heat to dry them. When sleeping, it is often recommended to lie on your back without a pillow, possibly using a small folded towel under your head for alignment. Store in a clean, dry environment away from direct sunlight.
