Triamcinolone is a steroid medication. It acts by suppressing the release if certain chemicals in the body that causes pain, inflammation and swelling. It also supresses the release of certain inflammatory mediators in the airways that causes swelling and narrowing. As a result, it reduces inflammation and swelling caused due to allergic and auto-immune disease conditions.
