How Topiramate works
Topiramate works by reducing the abnormal electrical activity in the brain and restores the normal balance of nerve activity and prevents seizures. In case of migraines, it may help by decreasing the frequency and intensity of migraine attacks.
Common side effects of Topiramate
- stuffy, runny nose or sore throat
- pain and change in sensations (tingling or numbness) of various body parts
- sleepiness, tiredness
- dizziness
