How Tolperisone works

Tolperisone works by inhibiting the reflexes in the spinal cord. It exerts its muscle relaxant effects by directly acting on the skeletal muscles by blocking the entry of calcium ions into the muscle and produce muscle relaxation. It also modulates neurotransmitters in the spinal cord helps reduce muscle spasticity. It also relieves pain by increasing the blood supply to skeletal muscles.
