Silodosin treats the urinary symptoms associated with prostatic hyperplasia by acting on certain receptors present in prostate, bladder, and urethra. It blocks these receptors, causing the smooth muscles in these organs to relax.

Common side effects of Silodosin

• abnormal ejaculation
• dizziness (even while standing up)
• blocked or runny nose
• diarrhoea

Consult your doctor if you experience:

• allergic reaction including swelling of the face or throat, feeling faint, difficulty in breathing, itchy skin, or hives
• In case of accidental overdose or ingestion

• Silodosin can cause dizziness or fainting due to its effects on blood pressure. Drinking enough water can help to prevent dehydration, which may exacerbate these side effects
