Uses of Pyridostigmine
Pyridostigmine is used to treat myasthenia gravis and paralytic ileus (paralysis of digestive tract muscles). It can also be used to treat urinary retention after surgery (inability to urinate due to an anaesthetic or certain types of surgery).

Pyridostigmine works by preventing the breakdown of a chemical called acetylcholine, which is required to stimulate muscle movement by improving the communication between nerves and muscles.
