Uses of Ornidazole
Ornidazole is used to treat infections that are caused by anaerobic bacteria (bacteria that do not use oxygen) or amoeba (single-celled parasites), periodontal disease (periodontitis), gingivitis (gum inflammation), aphthous stomatitis (sore or ulcers in the mouth or gums), certain types of vaginal, urinary tract and intestinal infections.
It is also used as prophylaxis during surgery to prevent these types of infections.

Ornidazole that kills parasites and bacteria (that lives in the absence of oxygen) by generating harmful molecule which damages the DNA of the parasites and bacteria, thus helps to treat and prevent certain types of infections.

- Muscle rigidity
- Skin rash, itching
- Application site irritation
- Ataxia (disturbed coordination, balance and speech)
- Loss of appetite, nausea, diarrhea, vomiting
