Uses of Nebivolol
Nebivolol is used to treat essential hypertension (high blood pressure). It is also used to treat mild and moderate chronic heart failure (above 70 years of age).

How Nebivolol works
Nebivolol works specifically on the heart by slowing down the heart rate and makes the heart more efficient at pumping blood around the body. It prevents increased heart rate, controls heart pumping strength and also exerts a dilating action on blood vessels, which contributes as well to lower blood pressure.

- If you experience severe allergic reactions, with generalized skin eruption (hypersensitive reactions)
- If you experience rapid onset of swelling, around the lips, eyes, or of the tongue with sudden difficulties in breathing (angioedema)
- If you experience skin rash involving pale red, raised, itchy bumps of allergic or non-allergic causes
- If you experience breathlessness such as in asthma, tightening of the chest, difficulty in breathing or wheezing
- In case of accidental overdose or ingestion

- Do not drive or operate any machines if you experience dizziness or fatigue after taking Nebivolol
- Let your doctor know if you are a pregnant woman
- Nebivolol is not recommended to take during breastfeeding
- Limit your intake of sodium (salt) and processed foods, as excess sodium can contribute to high blood pressure
- Engage in regular physical activity as recommended by your healthcare provider
