How Mometasone+Sertaconazole works

Sertaconazole acts primarily by inhibiting the cytochrome P450-dependent synthesis of ergosterol (a key component of the cell membrane of fungi) and lack of this component leads to fungal cell injury, slowing the growth of fungi that cause infection.  Mometasone is a topical corticosteroid that blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the skin red, swollen, and itchy.

Common side effects of Mometasone+Sertaconazole

• Tingling or stinging sensation
• Application site reactions (redness, itching, dry skin, burning, blistering, swelling, drainage, and skin tenderness)

• Infection of the skin, or pus-filled boil/blisters
• Blurred vision or other visual disturbances
• Cushing’s syndrome (symptoms such as rapid weight gain, especially of the trunk and face, and general weakness)
• Irritation or sensitization

• Use a thin layer of the medication to cover the affected area. Do not use more than necessary, as excessive use can lead to side effects
• After applying the medication, wash your hands thoroughly to prevent accidental transfer of the product to other areas of your body
