Mometasone reduces the redness and itchiness of skin by blocking the production of prostaglandin (chemical messenger), which is responsible for causing redness and itchiness of skin and Salicylic acid helps in softening and removing the psoriasis scales by acting as a scale filter which causes shedding of outer layer of the skin thereby providing relief from the symptoms of psoriasis.
