Metronidazole+Mupirocin works against the bacteria and promoting faster healing of the infection in which mupirocin exerts its action by reversibly binding to an enzyme (isoleucyl transfer RNA synthetase) and inhibits its activity of synthesis of proteins in the bacteria and produce microbicidal action. Metronidazole destroys the bacteria and other microorganisms that cause infections by damaging the DNA.
