Uses of Metformin+Repaglinide

The combination of Repaglinide and Metformin is indicated as an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve glycemic control in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus who are already treated with a meglitinide and metformin or who have inadequate glycemic control on a meglitinide alone or metformin.

How Metformin+Repaglinide works

Repaglinide is a meglitinide analogue which increases the amount of insulin released by the pancreas. This prevents blood glucose from rising very high after the meals. Metformin is a biguanide which decreases the production and absorption of sugar in your body and allows better use of existing insulin.
