How Magaldrate+Simethicone works

Magaldrate + Simethicone helps to relieve symptoms of excess gas and acidity. Magaldrate is an antacid works by neutralizing the stomach acid and increase in pH of stomach. Also, it has ability to protect gastric mucosa to reduce the ulcer index. When magaldrate dissolves in stomach acid, it leads to formation of aluminium hydroxide particles and magnesium ions that envelope the ulcer area and leads to process of stomach repair. Thus, it is used for the treatment of peptic ulcer. Simethicone is an ant flatulent that prevents excess gas production by breaking up the gas bubbles, which makes easier elimination of gases.
