Uses of Ketoprofen
Ketoprofen is used to is indicated to reduce the pain and inflammation of musculoskeletal conditions like tennis elbow (pain due to irritation of connecting tissue from forearm to elbow), tendovaginitis and peritendinitis (inflammation of tissue around the tendons which is characterised by pain and swelling).
It can also be used to relieve pain in deformans arthritis (joint disease with deformation of affected joints), pain after trauma, scapula inflammation (swelling due to overuse of shoulder) and myalgia (muscle pain).

Ketoprofen is nonsteroidal anti inflammatory drug that relieves pain and inflammation by inhibition of cylooxygenase-2 (COX-2), thus decreasing the levels of prostaglandins (substances that mediate pain, fever and inflammation).
