How Gabapentin+Methylcobalamin works
Gabapentin reduces pain sensation by interfering with the pain signals travelling between the damaged nerves and the brain.
Methylcobalamin is a vitamin. It repairs and rejuvenates the damaged nerve cells. It improves the production of a substance called myelin which forms a protective covering around the nerve fibres. This protects the nerve cells from getting damaged further. Together, they effectively reduce nerve pain and protect the nerve cells from further damage.
Common side effects of Gabapentin+Methylcobalamin
- viral infections, fever, sore throat, cough
- dizziness, drowsiness, sleepiness or lack of sleep
- tiredness, weakness, lack of coordination or balance, muscle pain, joint pain
- nausea, vomiting, increased appetite or lack of appetite
- confusion, emotional liability, anger, anxiety, nervousness, depression, mood changes
- abnormal thinking, slurred speech, loss of memory
- headache, numbness of body parts

- Gabapentin+Methylcobalamin can be taken with or without food. Strictly follow the dosing schedule instructed by your doctor. Do not stop taking this medicine abruptly without consulting your doctor
- Gabapentin+Methylcobalamin may make you feel drowsy. Therefore, do not drive or operate any heavy tools or machines as a precaution. Also, avoid drinking alcohol as it might make you feel drowsier
- Gabapentin + Methylcobalamin may cause weight gain in few individuals, predominantly among diabetic patients. Therefore, try to exercise more regularly and eat a healthy balanced diet as instructed by your doctor
- Before taking Gabapentin+Methylcobalamin, inform your doctor if you have any lung, liver, kidney or heart problems, previous history of fits, nerve problems, Vitamin B9/Vitamin B6 deficiency, or a history of drug abuse as a precaution
- Do not take Gabapentin+Methylcobalamin without consulting your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding
- Women of childbearing potential should use a suitable contraceptive method to avoid pregnancy while taking this medicine
