How Faropenem works

Faropenem works by binding to penicillin-binding proteins located inside the bacterial cell wall (which are responsible for the formation of the bacterial cell wall) and inhibiting the synthesis of the bacterial cell wall, leading to bacterial cell death.

• vomiting, stomach pain, diarrhoea, gastritis, constipation
• lack of appetite
• dizziness, drowsiness
• edema
• muscle pain
• lethargy
