Ezetimibe works by reducing cholesterol absorption from intestine which leads to low uptake of cholesterol from food which results in low cholesterol level in blood thus treating the condition in affected individuals.

• signs of kidney damage such as unexplained muscle pain, tenderness, and/or weakness
• signs of allergic reactions such as swelling of the face, lips, tongue, and/or throat, difficulty in breathing/swallowing
