Etodolac helps in reducing pain and inflammation in the joints by preventing the formation of prostaglandins and other mediators of inflammation and pain.

Consult your doctor:

• in case of accidental overdosage
• if you experience allergic reaction which causes difficulty breathing, swelling of the face or throat
• if you experience chest pain, high blood pressure, swelling of the ankles, palpitations (throbbing of heart), several types of anaemia or other blood disorders, unexpected bruising and bleeding
• if you experience stomach and bowel (gastrointestinal) problems
• if you experience kidney failure symptoms (difficulty or pain when passing urine, discolouration of urine or urinating more or less often than usual)
• if you have symptoms of liver failure and inflammation of the pancreas
• if you have aseptic Meningitis symptoms (a very high temperature, being sick, a headache, a blotchy rash, a stiff neck, a dislike of bright lights, drowsiness and fits)

• Etodolac should be taken with food to reduce the risk of stomach upset or irritation
• Avoid alcohol consumption while taking Etodolac as it increases the risk of stomach bleeding and may increase the side effects of the medication
