   Uses of Ethamsylate
Ethamsylate is used to prevent and treat bleeding from the blood vessels and to prevent bleeding before or after an operation. It also used to treats spotting and heavy or prolonged bleeding during a menstrual period.

How Ethamsylate works
Ethamsylate exerts hemostatic action by improving platelet adhesiveness and restoring capillary (blood vessels) resistance. It decreases bleeding time and increases platelet clumping which reduces capillary bleeding and improves capillary wall stability. It inhibits PGI-2 synthesis and corrects abnormal platelet function.
