How Enzalutamide works

Enzalutamide works by blocking the activity of hormones called androgens (such as testosterone). By blocking androgens, it stops the growth of prostate cancer cells and can induce cancer cell death and tumor regression.

  • Hot flushes, high blood pressure, blockage of the arteries in the heart (ischemic heart disease)

  • Difficulty remembering, reduced concentration, forgetfulness
  • Change in sense of taste
  • Breast enlargement in men (gynecomastia)
