How Endoxifen works

Endoxifen works by inhibiting protein kinase C activity (which is increased in the manic phase of patients with bipolar disorder) in the nervous system and subsequently helps to balance certain chemicals in the brain such as serotonin, norepinephrine, and dopamine that control mood.

  • Signs and symptoms of thromboembolism such as symptoms of leg swelling, tenderness, and unexplained shortness of breath

Health Tips for Endoxifen

  • Endoxifen can be taken with or without food. If you experience stomach upset, you may take it with a meal
  • Avoid grapefruit and grapefruit juice while taking Endoxifen as it may interact with the metabolism of the medication
  • Drink plenty of water throughout the day to stay hydrated, especially if you experience nausea or vomiting
  • Inform your doctor about any pre-existing medical conditions you have, especially a history of blood clots, stroke, or liver problem
  • Engage in regular physical activity as directed by your doctor. Exercise can contribute to overall well-being and may help manage some side effects

  • Endoxifen is not suitable for use in pregnant women, and females of reproductive potential should use effective contraception for 2 months after the last dose of this medication. Contact your doctor before taking it
  • Do not breastfeed during treatment and for 3 months after the last dose of Endoxifen. Contact your doctor before taking it
