How Ebastine+Montelukast works

Ebastine reduces signs of allergy (such as nasal congestion, repeated sneezing, nasal itching, and watery eyes) by blocking the release of certain chemicals (histamines) in the nasal tract that triggers the allergic reactions.

Montelukast reduces inflammation and swelling of the airways by blocking the release of certain chemicals (leukotriene) in the airways that causes inflammation. Together, they reduce the unpleasant symptoms of allergic rhinitis.

• Take Ebastine + Montelukast as long as your doctor prescribes it to you. It is typically given for a period of 14 days (2 weeks). However, this period may vary from person-to-person depending upon the severity of the allergic condition
• Do not stop taking Ebastine + Montelukast without consulting your doctor as it may make your symptoms to reappear
• Ebastine + Montelukast may cause drowsiness or sleepiness. Therefore, avoid driving or operating any heavy tools or performing activities that require complete concentration. Also, avoid consumption of alcohol, as it could aggravate your drowsiness
• Before taking Ebastine + Montelukast inform your doctor if you have asthma or any other breathing problems. You must also inform your doctor if you have any liver or kidney problems as a precaution
• Ebastine + Montelukast should be used in pregnant and in breastfeeding women only if considered necessary by the physician
