How Domperidone+Paracetamol works
Domperidone works by blocking dopamine receptors in the chemoreceptor trigger zone (responsible for triggering the sensation of nausea and initiating the vomiting reflux) located in the brain. Thus, helps to reduce nausea and prevent vomiting. Paracetamol works by inhibiting prostaglandin (responsible for pain, inflammation and fever) synthesis in the brain and helps to reduce pain. It also acts on the hypothalamus (heat regulating centre) in the brain and helps to produce sweating and heat loss.
