Desloratadine is used to manage allergic symptoms associated with allergic rhinitis (such as nasal congestion, itchy nose, repeated sneezing and red, watery and/or itchy eyes). It can also alleviate the symptoms of urticaria (an allergic skin condition causing reddish raised patches on the skin with severe itching).

Desloratadine an anti-allergic medicine. It reduces allergic reactions by blocking the release of certain chemicals (histamines) in the body that triggers the allergic response. As a result, it provides relief from the symptoms of allergic rhinitis and urticaria.

- Signs of allergic reaction (such as skin rash, itching, swelling of the face, lips, tongue, and/or throat which can lead to difficulty in breathing or swallowing)

- Signs of liver problems (such as nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, feeling generally unwell, fever, itching, yellowing of the skin and eyes, pale stools, dark colored urine)
- Abnormal heartbeat, dizziness
Health Tips for Desloratadine
- Take Desloratadine exactly as directed by your healthcare provider or as specified on the product label. Do not exceed the recommended dosage. It is taken once a day, with or without food
- Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water throughout the day
- Avoid taking alcohol and grapefruit juice, since it may reduce the risk of side effects
