Uses of Cerebrolysin
Cerebrolysin is used to treat cranial injury (injury in the brain) and other problems in the brain caused due to poor blood flow such as stroke or vascular dementia (problems in thinking, memory, and reasoning). It can also be used to improve memory and thinking in patients having dementia or Alzheimer’s disease (memory loss caused due to destruction of brain cells) and to reduce overstimulation of the brain cells.

How Cerebrolysin works
Cerebrolysin is a neuroprotective agent. It works by repairing nerve cells and by protecting it from further damage. It also improves brain’s ability for self-repair, helps brain to regain its potential and improves memory and thinking in patients suffering from memory impairment (such as dementia or Alzheimer’s disease). It also regenerates the thickness of the blood-brain barrier (protecting covering of the brain) and regulates the functions of nerve cells.

- fever or chills
- sweating or irregular heartbeat (if administered faster)

- signs of allergic reaction (such as skin rash, itching, swelling of the face, lips, nose, and throat causing difficulty in breathing)
- seizures (fits), agitation and confusion

- Cerebrolysin should be used only under careful medical supervision. It is strictly prohibited for self-use
