How Ceftriaxone+Sulbactam works

Ceftriaxone+Sulbactam help to treat infections, where ceftriaxone is a cephalosporin antibiotic that works by inhibiting the synthesis of the bacterial cell wall, leading to the destruction of the bacteria, and sulbactam is a beta-lactamase inhibitor that works by binding and inhibiting beta-lactamase (an enzyme that destroys antibiotic activity) produced by bacterial cells, thereby preventing the reduction in antibacterial activity.

Common side effects of Ceftriaxone+Sulbactam

  • pain, tenderness, warmth, and tightness at the injection site
  • rash
  • diarrhoea
