How Cefadroxil+Clavulanic Acid works

Cefadroxil is a cephalosporin antibiotic and works by inhibiting the synthesis of the bacterial cell wall, leading to bacterial cell lysis and death. Clavulanic acid is a beta-lactamase inhibitor that works by binding and inhibiting beta-lactamase (an enzyme that destroys antibiotic activity) produced by bacterial cells and thereby prevents the reduction in antibacterial activity.
