How Carbimazole works
Carbimazole works by decreasing the uptake and concentration of inorganic iodine by thyroid, it also reduces the formation of thyroxine, hence reducing the production of the thyroid hormones (T3 and T4).

- Bone morrow depression which causes a reduction in the number of blood cells and reduces the ability to fight infection
