Uses of Betamethasone+Ofloxacin
The combination of Betamethasone+Ofloxacin is used to treat and prevent eye inflammation and infection. It also helps in reducing pain, redness, itching and burning/stinging sensation following eye surgery (such as cataract or corneal refractive surgery).

How Betamethasone+Ofloxacin works
Betamethasone is a steroid medication. It blocks the release of certain chemicals in the body (such as prostaglandins) that causes inflammation, redness and swelling. When applied topically, it reduces redness, soreness, pain, itching and swelling.
Ofloxacin is an antibiotic. It kills the susceptible bacteria that causes infection. Together they reduce inflammation and infection of the eyes.

- severe allergic reactions (such as skin rash, itching, swelling of the face, lips, throat, tongue causing difficulty in breathing or swallowing)
- severe eye pain, redness, irritation and vision changes
- severe skin reactions causing skin rashes, with red-target spots or circular patches on the skin, blistering and peeling of skin with fever
Health Tips for Betamethasone+Ofloxacin
- Use Betamethasone+Ofloxacin exactly as instructed by your physician. Misuse or overuse of this medicine may lead to unwanted side effects
- If there is no improvement in your condition even after using this medicine for 7 days, consult your doctor for advice
- If you wear soft contact lenses, remove the lens before applying Betamethasone + Ofloxacin drops or eye ointment and wait for at least 15 minutes before reinsertion
- Along with the treatment, avoid straining your eyes by looking at mobile phones, laptops or television. Wear protective eyeglasses while going outdoors
- Before using Betamethasone+Ofloxacin, inform your doctor if you have severe viral or fungal eye infections
- You must also inform your doctor if you have glaucoma or any holes or ulcerations in the eyes as a precaution
- Do not use Betamethasone+Ofloxacin without consulting your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding
