Bepotastine is used to treat allergic rhinitis, urticaria and also used to treat itching associated with allergic conjunctivitis.

How Bepotastine works

Bepotastine blocks a certain chemical called histamine which is responsible for the allergic reaction. It also supresses the movement of certain cells (eosinophils) into the inflamed (red, swollen) tissue to prevent tissue damage and worsening of allergic inflammation of the outer lining of the eyeball.

• excessive sleep
• mild taste
• irritation in the eyes
• headache
• swelling of nose and throat from inside (nasopharyngitis)
