Beclomethasone is a corticosteroid that works by reducing inflammation and relieving symptoms like itching, redness, irritation, and swelling by blocking the enzymes responsible for causing it (prostaglandins and leukotrienes). Ketoconazole is an imidazole that blocks the synthesis of ergosterol, a key component of the fungal cell membrane, thus weakening the structure and function of the fungal cell membrane.
