Beclomethasone is a corticosteroid that is present in this medicine and works by reducing inflammation and relieving symptoms like itching, redness, irritation, and swelling by blocking the enzymes responsible for causing them (prostaglandins and leukotrienes). Mupirocin, which is an antibacterial agent, exerts its action by reversibly binding to an enzyme (isoleucyl transfer RNA synthetase) and inhibiting its activity of synthesising proteins in the bacteria, producing microbicidal action.
