 Uses of Azelastine
Azelastine is used to treat and prevent signs and symptoms of allergic conjunctivitis (seasonal and perennial). It is also used to treat allergic rhinitis in adults and children (aged 6 years or older).

How Azelastine works
When applied topically in the eyes, it blocks the release of certain chemical messengers (such as histamines) that cause inflammation and swelling. As a result, it prevents the onset of allergic reactions in the eye and nose and provides relief from unpleasant symptoms (such as itching, irritation, redness or inflammation).
