Famotidine effectively heals stomach ulcers by blocking certain receptors called Histamine (H2) receptors which are present in the stomach walls which in turn reduces the production of gastric acid and decreases the volume of gastric secretion in the stomach.

• Swelling in the deeper layers of the skin caused by a fluid build-up (angioneurotic oedema)
