Therapeutic Category

Amlodipine: Antihypertensive agents (Calcium channel blocker)

Indapamide: Antihypertensive agents (Thiazide diuretics)

How Amlodipine+Indapamide works

Amlodipine+Indapamide helps to reduce high blood pressure, where amlodipine works by inhibiting the movement of calcium ions into both vascular smooth muscle and cardiac muscle, resulting in lower blood pressure by relaxing the blood vessels and improving the flow of blood to the heart muscles. Indapamide reduces blood pressure by promoting the excretion of extra fluid and certain salts (sodium) from the body by increasing the amount of urine produced by the kidneys.
