How Amlexanox works

Amlexanox inhibits the synthesis of various mediators of inflammation (such as histamine and leukotrienes from various cells in the body) which results in decreased inflammatory activity with swelling and redness associated with minor aphthous ulcers thus treating the decrease in affected individuals. 

Common side effects of Amlexanox

• Pain, stinging and/or burning sensation at the site of application
