It reduces pain sensations by blocking the release of certain chemicals (such as bradykinin, prostaglandins) in the body that causes pain, inflammation and swelling. It also dissolves fibrins (a protein involved in wound repair) which helps in gently removing the damaged cells and tissues without harming the living cells.
