Uses of Acebrophylline+N-Acetyl-L-Cysteine

The combination of Acebrophylline + N-Acetyl-L-cysteine is used to manage the symptoms of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). It can also be used to treat inflammation of the airways (such as bronchitis or cystic fibrosis) and reduce the onset of other complications caused due to mucus obstruction in the airways such as bronchospasm (paralysis of airways) and wheezing or shortness of breath.

How Acebrophylline+N-Acetyl-L-Cysteine works

Acebrophylline + N-Acetyl-L-cysteine blocks the release of certain chemicals (such as phosphodiesterase) in the respiratory tract that triggers airway inflammation, swelling and narrowing. As a result, it widens the airways, and reduces airway inflammation. It also loosens the mucus accumulated in the airways which allows the air to pass through more freely through the airways and makes breathing easier.
