Uses of Abemaciclib

Abemaciclib is  used to manage certain types of breast tumor (hormone receptor-positive (HR+), human epidermal growth factor receptor 2-negative (HER2-)).

How Abemaciclib works

Abemaciclib blocks the effects of proteins called cyclin-dependent kinase 4 and 6. These proteins are abnormally active in some tumor cells and make them grow out of control. It blocks the action of these proteins can slow down growth of tumor cells, shrink the tumour and delay progression of the tumor.
